Erotic Art - Nigel Van Wieck

Nigel Van Wieck was born in Bexley, Kentel, United Kingdom, in 1947. After studying in Europe and familiarizing himself with the work of great masters, their style and aesthetic, he knew how to develop his own. He emigrated to the United States in 1979, influenced by contemporary American realists. In no time, he became one of them, working prolifically for over three decades. The majority of his scenes are taken from real life, in which the artist seems to behave like a voyeur. The artist says about his work: I am a narrator and my audience is the spectator, but before that, while I'm sitting at my easel, I am a member of the audience that will be portrayed on the canvas. When Nigel prepares his next work, he observes his possible models live, uses photographs and cutouts, although as a general rule, his best source of inspiration is his memory, he says: Reality is much better when imagined.
