Female ejaculation refers to the expulsion of a variable amount of fluid through the urethra during orgasm. The liquid expelled is reported as a clear or milky liquid that emerges from the vagina (sometimes with force), which has a composition similar to that generated in men by the prostate gland, and is generated by Skene's glands.InvestigationIn 2003, Emanuele Jannini from the University of L'Aquila in Italy offered an explanation for this phenomenon as well as for the frequent denial of its existence: The openings of the Skene gland vary generally in size from one woman to another, to the extent that in some women it has disappeared entirely. If the Skene glands are the cause of female ejaculation, this may explain the observed absence of this phenomenon in many women. Retrograde ejaculation may occur when the fluid that is about to be ejaculated, which normally exits through the urethra, is redirected towards the urinary bladder (observed in 75% of test subjects), and this could also possibly justify the observed absence. Female ejaculation appears to be aided or caused by stimulation of the vaginal area known as the G-spot.[/swf]
