You start considering God... Really, this alternative (for me) is so pathetic that it excuses any comment
Come out of the closet and try first with handcuffs then with transvestites and finally with bearded types (maybe it will work, it's a more dignified alternative than God)
you give up on living the rest of your life with that feeling (dulled by kids, love, dogs, second-division football, wine, drugs, and partying, etc.)
