In all this time that I've written for myself never had I dared to share an experience so close to mine, obviously the names of people and cities have been changed for privacy
# Chapter 1
Ana had never thought about women that way before. She had always gone out with guys, although none of them had made her feel anything special. She considered herself a normal girl, with a normal life, a normal job, and normal friends. Until one day, everything changed.
It all started with a message in her inbox. It was from someone called Mónica, saying she had seen his profile on a dating site. Ana was surprised because she hadn't registered on any such page. She thought it was a joke or a mistake, and was about to delete the message without reading it. But something made her change her mind. Maybe it was curiosity, or boredom, or fate. The point is that she opened the message and read what it said:
Hello, Ana. My name is Mónica and I'm 25 years old. I live in Madrid but I'm from Sevilla. I'd like to get to know you better because your profile caught my attention. You seem like a nice, intelligent, funny girl. And very pretty, by the way. I hope it's not bothering you that I'm writing to you, but I've been attracted to you since the first moment. If you want to know more about me, you can check out my profile or write to me whenever you want. A kiss.
Ana was left speechless. Who was that girl? How had she found her profile? And why was she saying those things to her? Ana felt a mix of confusion, surprise, and nervousness. She didn't know what to do. Should she respond to her? What would she say? What did that girl want from her?
Ana decided to leave the message for later and continue with her routine. She went to work, had lunch with her colleagues, came back home, showered, and put on pajamas. But she couldn't stop thinking about the message. She sat in front of the computer and read it again. This time, she focused on Mónica's profile. It was a brunette girl with green eyes and a wide smile. She had a photo where she appeared wearing a red dress and black heels. She looked very beautiful. Ana felt something strange while looking at her. It was like a sensation of warmth in the chest, butterflies in the stomach, and a tingling on the skin.
Ana was startled when she realized what she felt. What was happening to her? She wasn't lesbian. She had never felt anything for any woman. Or did she? Ana remembered some moments in her life where she had admired some girl, or felt comfortable with her, or even fantasized about her. But she always attributed it to friendship, admiration, or imagination.
But now he couldn't deny the obvious: that girl liked him.
Ana took a decision: she was going to answer him.
He grabbed the keyboard and started writing:
Hello, Monica...
