Hervé Scott Flament was born in Paris on February 1, 1959. His father was a acrobat who committed suicide when Hervé was very young. His mother raised him alone and instilled in him his tastes for the supernatural, fantasy, and fantastique culture that had already been inherited from the Romantic era.
He began studying Natural Sciences with the intention of becoming a paleontologist or zoologist later on, but changed paths in 1977 when the punk movement erupted in Western society. Hervé had been playing the guitar for about a year before the punk's appearance and then dedicated the next ten years of his life to music. He played with various French punk bands and created the group Ici Paris, which released an LP and four singles. New interests led him in unknown directions and he started painting. Immediately sold his first paintings that inspired him to dedicate more time to his new venture. Hervé learned to paint on his own and brought an ancient painting technique that no art school could have taught him today...
