A triumphant porn film at the II Festival of Erotic Cinema in Barcelona, where it won the Nymphs for best movie, best supporting actress (Maeva) and best promotional campaign. Twenty-four actors perform twelve erotic numbers in this hard version, although Dracula does not participate in them. On the contrary, Mario Salieri treats the famous vampire with great respect in the opening and final sequences, where he appears, since his presence in the rest of the film is more spiritual than physical. The gothic setting and photography, which lack blue colors, are very well achieved with reminiscences of the great Mario Bava, the miniatures are also excellent. The sequences of Vlad Tepes recount his death after being betrayed by Zoltan, knight of the Dragon, who will kill him and then rape his wife Elizabeta on his tomb, provoking a curse that turns him into a vampire. Already converted into Dracula, the vampire will appear again in a very well resolved final scene that stands out from the rest of the footage. Love never dies, Salieri concludes. Far, far away are we from Murnau, Browning, Fisher, Badham or Coppola, that is true, but Salieri does not pretend to be because his intentions are very different and within this framework, hardcore cinema, we must evaluate his work as much for the best as for the worst.
