The interrogation of Vera was even less successful than that of the widow, Palacios immediately intuited that both women had a relationship beyond friendship. The mere idea of seeing them together and naked, the image of a scene between them, caressing each other, giving each other pleasure, clouded his already little clear conscience.
She perceived something of his turmoil and looked at him with a disdainful expression, her gaze having lost all trace of the sweetness with which she looked at Milena.
Basically, he confirmed his friend's story and added that when Milena went to bed, she and the deceased stayed for a while in the living room, that they ended up arguing as always, that she hated him and that feeling was mutual...
Then he narrated having gone out to the gallery to smoke a cigarette and that when he returned to enter, he was no longer there and she retired to her room, waking up with the terrible news. He added comments about the shady businesses Calderón was involved in and suggested continuing the investigation from that angle.
At that moment, Palacios received a call from the Fiscalía ordering him to transfer the three women to testify in the capital, he felt relief at being able to clear his head a little and leave that atmosphere that overwhelmed him... so loaded with secrets and poorly disguised tensions.
After the women testified before the Prosecutor, he ordered Palacios to take them back to the house and keep them under his custody. By evening, the four of them arrived at the empty house, only leaving a despondent doorman at the main entrance.
The caretaker prepared something light for dinner and retired to rest. They ate in silence until Vera also excused herself, kissed Milena on the forehead, telling her to go to bed early.
As soon as they were alone with Palacios, the widow changed completely, the feline gaze and ronroning voice that had disturbed the man reappeared.
She stood up and approached the back of Palacios' chair -I'll need your... Help, she said, from her protection, she put her hands on the troubled investigator's shoulders and began to massage him, tracing with her skilled hands his back, neck, chest.
He tried to stop her but a superior force made him weak and pliable before this woman. Despite fighting against his instincts he couldn't help but desire more and more contact from those hands, that skin.
He sighed deeply when she turned around and sat astride him on the bed.
The woman began to caress his face, kiss his lips, neck. He let her do it while the widow's caresses descended to his stomach, searching, feeling.
When she found what she was looking for, she smiled mischievously at him as she said -You have to take care of me all night, so why not enjoy a good moment?
With calculated gesture and without stopping to hypnotize him with her gaze, Milena opened her shirt, freeing her magnificent breasts in which Palacios buried his face, while his tongue, gone wild, sought to savor the hard and erect nipples...
