The illustration was used as a means of dissemination or teaching to learn in the amateur arts. The erotic art illustrators did not reach the level of the representatives of the fine arts, but their publications circulated very popularly at the time and were true cultural icons. Some of these artists were anonymous and we know the name or pseudonym of others, at least... There are many such publications, I will only upload a few as an example. These belong to a book from 1825 called 'invocation to love'.
