Small Reflection...

When things in life seem too much, When 24 hours a day are not enough...Remember the mayonnaise jar and coffee.

A philosophy professor standing in front of his class without saying a word took a large empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

Then he asked his students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

So the professor took a box filled with marbles and emptied them into the mayonnaise jar. The marbles filled the empty spaces between the golf balls.

The professor returned to ask the students if the jar was full, and they again said yes.

Then...the professor took a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled all the empty spaces, so the professor asked again if the jar was full. On this occasion, the students responded with an unanimous yes.

The professor then added 2 cups of coffee to the contents of the jar and effectively filled all the empty spaces between the sand. The students were laughing at this point. When the laughter subsided, the professor said:

I WANT YOU TO REMEMBER THAT THIS JAR REPRESENTS LIFE.

The golf balls are important things,
Like family, children, health, friends, everything that you're passionate about (P! 😀 )
They are things that make our lives full.
The marbles are other important things,
Like work, home, car, etc.
The sand is all the rest,
Small things.

If we put the sand in the jar first, there wouldn't be room for the marbles or golf balls.
It's the same with life.
If we spend all our time and energy on small things, we'll never have space for really important things...
