Thomas Leycester Poulton, born in England in 1897, was an illustrator of medical journals and publications. After his death in 1963, it was discovered that he had also been a prolific and imaginative creator of erotic art: the hundreds of sketches and drawings that emerged from his pen show women proudly displaying their lush bodies in a way that would have been considered scandalous by the staid post-war United Kingdom.
