Camille Clovis Trouille (La Fère, Aisne, October 24, 1889, Paris, September 24, 1975) was a French painter. His painting extolled color and eroticism, was close to surrealism, and was highlighted in 1930 by André Breton. However, he distanced himself from that current, claiming his Renaissance influences. He is not very well known, as he never pursued fame. He painted as an amateur, creating canvases where anti-clericalism and anti-militarism frequently repeat. He had suffered a great trauma during World War I. He self-defined as an anarchist, and his work owes much to mass culture and kitsch. Some of his works can be seen at the Picardy Museum in Amiens.
