Chad Michael Ward is a 35-year-old artist from Los Angeles, California. He is a graphic designer, photographer, and film and video director, specializing in horror, surrealism genres with a heavy erotic tone in many of his works. As a child, while everyone watched cartoons on Saturday morning, he would wait for the afternoon to immerse himself in horror movies. Artists like HR Giger, Dave McKean, and Barron Storey were first heroes, and their early influences. It is when he begins his digital journey that he lets loose his thoughts and ideas and finds his true artistic path. His interest in photography also marks this artistic trajectory, inspiring him from the works of Ashley Wood, Cliff Nielsen, Phil Hale, Jon Foster, and of course, Joel Peter Witkin.
